Hey gang. Just wondering if anyone can recommend a good place to have my neighbor's Toyota Tercel (it's about a 1995 model year) gas tank replaced at? Theirs is leaking all over the driveway, leaving pretty rainbows for the pyromaniacs in the neighborhood to stare at with their cold dead eyes. Not good.

Thanks!

On the old board, Tom recommended me to this place - http://gastankexchange.com/. It's not Hamilton local but they do a good job for a good price, too - had the Civic's tank done for just less than $200.

I think that's the same place mine was done on the EG a couple years back.

Good job and a great price.

Cool, thanks guys. They quoted me $185 + tax, which is over $100 cheaper than the place here in Hamilton I got a quote from. Up to my neighbors if the added hassle of going to Toronto is worth it to them or not.

If the vehicle was ever Krowned (probably not if you need a new tank that badly) then be prepared to need a new seal for the pump access port.

I think the ice racers have their tanks lined for $80 or so if you can bring it to them, but $185 for brand new sounds very good.

I know I am a bit late but I was just looking in our stock here at Perrys and I cant believe we actually stock that tank.
We sell it for $99 + tax , I cant believe the prices on tanks..... anyways if he is still looking, I have it!! lol

+1 for gastankexchange

My dad's civic is over there right now with a fuel leak - all 3 fuel lines replaced in a few hours for $150 + tax - woot!
