Hi all, looking for used R compounds. Mainly a pair, but will accept a set of four is within budget.
Size can be either 205/50 or 225/50 (225/45), not really concerned of brand name.
Thanks
Charles

Have some 225/50 RA1s I want to get rid of. They're been stored in the backyard for a couple years and are rock hard. Still have the lines showing, but price is right .... FREE!!:D

I will take them off your hands Miles. I can even pick them up tonight if you have time.

I understand that these "rock hard" R compounds are not competitive anymore, but for lapping days, I don't think they will matter that much. Hopefully enough driving can soften them up a little.
But I wouldn't mind buy a few more used ones.

Charles, I've heard with the RA1's, if you get em nice and hot a couple of times, they will soften up (not to where they were if bonehead..i.e. Miles...stored them indoors).
If they were Victoracer's they'd probably be useless.

Thanks Keith for the info. I won't be doing any Solos so lapping days driving should be alright.

Ok Wes - I'll let you know, my new tires are coming in this week and the RA1's will be off the rims by the end of the week.

Andy, sorry, I called a couple times but it was during the day, no answer. Would evening be a better time?
Toyo's website mentions that 225/45 needs a minimum of 7", I want to mount them on a 6.5", so still debating if I should go with 225/50. But I will give you a call tomorrow afternoon.
Thanks.
