2009 CASC-OR Slalom School - call for volunteers

The 2009 CASC-OR slalom school is being hosted by the SPDA this year, and they have asked if there would be any volunteers from the other CASC clubs that would be willing to help out during the weekend. See Joe Trinidad's thread here:

I will be volunteering as a representative for HADA but I would like to know if any others will like to help out, too. Please post here and let me know. Thanks.

Are there any other autocross schools that are held later in the year?

If not, I might see if I can bring out some of the students at my school that are working on the Formula SAE team. They need to learn how to drive. The timing isn't the greatest for them though because they will be pulling all-nighters to prepare for their competition around that time. Maybe i'll ask some of the younger guys to give them a taste for pylons.

I can help with instruction too.

As far as I know there are no other CASC run schools. I thought I heard the rumblings of a second some time in the middle of the summer, but I don't know if that ever came to light. Perhaps it's still the works, I don't know.

Our Sandbox day (in June) is another possible option as it's a test-and-tune day with no official runs. At last year's Sandbox we did a small mini school for about an hour or so, then it was basically fun runs for the rest of the day. I'm not sure if we're going to do the same format this year. But it's a good opportunity to get a lot of seat time.

Tod, the school is on the 25th and 26th, the week after the ASE Academy, unless there's another Academy on that weekend.

Oh, sorry, I thought I had a conflict, maybe it's just that the wife will kill me for going to St Eustache the weekend before. Doing this on my weekend home then Koni @ Jersey, SWC @ Mosport and Koni @ Lime Rock the next 3/4 weekends! LOL
