CASC-OR is organizing “SPRING FLING” at Shannonville Motorsport Park on Friday, April 24th and Saturday, April 25th, 2009. We will be using the Fabi track; the choice of many professional race teams who want to do set-up work on their car!

Racers - take advantage of this great opportunity to get the jump on the competition. Shake out the cobwebs and get back in the groove prior to your first race. Test your new car or the modifications and improvements you’ve made to your existing car over the winter. Put your new co-driver through their paces. Take advantage of the generous track time to explore various race setups away from the heat of competition … AND … avoid those annoying long scrutineering line-ups at the first race event; scrutineers will be on-hand to inspect your car and equipment, issue your annual tech or, if a problem arises during the inspection, give you plenty of time to correct the deficiency. All racecars are welcome and there is no license requirement for this event.

SoloSprint and AutoSlalom competitors - if there is sufficient demand for track time from these divisions, you too will be allowed to participate. This is a great opportunity for you to get yourself and your car ready for the upcoming season while also providing an excellent opportunity for learning about and from the other competition divisions.

Race officials – begin or continue your licencing process. Theory sessions for new applicants for Clerk of the Course, Pit Marshall and Starter will be held on Saturday, April 25th. These sessions are offered at no cost to the participants and will not be provided again this season. Licenced Flag Marshalls can earn signatures towards the experiential component required for a licence upgrade. Note that probationary marshalls must ensure that an appropriate licenced marshall will be available to supervise their activities in order to earn a signature. Scrutineers will spend time practicing their skills.
The schedule and registration form for competitors (including entry fee information) can be found on the CASC-OR website
