Driver's Championship Title:
Points will be awarded in the following structure.

Qualifying; Race.
The qualifying will be based on the fastest time in your qualifying session, top five receive points but also will be inverted for the first race.

1st place = 5 points, 5th on the grid
2nd place = 4 points, 4th on the grid
3rd place = 3 points, 3rd on the grid
4th place = 2 points, 2nd on the grid
5th place = 1 point, 1st on the grid
6th through 10th will grid accordingly.

First Race, depending on number of participants we will have between two to three race groups. They will be the same racers from qualifying but your grid position is determined by qualifying structure listed above.

Finishing Position
1st place = 10 points
2nd place = 8 points
3rd place = 6 points
4th place = 5 points
5th place = 4 points
6th place = 3 points
7th place = 2 points
8th place = 1 point
9th place = 0 points
10th place = 0 points

Second race and here is where things get interesting.

Depending on the number of participants we will have between two and three races. All the racers will be inverted (fastest in the back based on lap times in the first race) in their respective groups based on their finishing order in the first race.

Structure is as follows…

If we have a two Race mains (based on 20 or less racers) top 50% (finishing order) from each group of racers will be moved to a “B” main and the bottom 50% to the “C” main.

If we have a 3 Race main (more than 20 racers) top 33% (finishing order) from each group of racers will be moved to an “A” main and the middle 33% to “B” main and bottom 33% to the “C’ main.

In cases where the field cannot be evenly split (ex 10/33.3% or 9/50%) we will have a lucky dog scenario where someone can be bumped up a class.

Point structure for the main races is as follows….

"A” main (if participant numbers allow)

1st place = 20 points
2nd place = 16 points
3rd place = 12 points
4th place = 10 points

Here are the results from today’s karting event at GPK.

Thanks to everyone who came out!

Good racing, especially the last race, three wide down the front straight!

Only one jackass on the track and that was me, sorry Brian W, I'll stick to administrative duties moving forward.:D

Points of interest; Paolo takes over the lead in the tight series championship from Jonathan L, Brian L moves from 10th to 3rd with a stunning performance today.

Now to the results:

Event #3 Winner Brian L, almost complete dominance, 4th in qualifying and then first in both races. Keep in mind that we are inverting the fields, so this guy must have passed at least 20 karts to get these results.
