1999 Accord Engine Dies When Coming to a Stop?

Can someone tell me why the engine in my 1999 Accord LX, 4-cyl, 5-speed will die sometimes as I approach a redlight or stop sign?

It does it very infrequently, but enough that there's clearly something wrong, like maybe a sensor that needs replacing. I had a Ford some years ago which had a VSS (vehicle speed sensor), does the Accord have something like that?

Any input/advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

That would be a stuck/clogged EGR valve... Wait for the motor to cool down, unbolt the EGR valve, clean it out, replace. Be careful not to damage the gasket or you'll need a new one.
