This morning on my way into work my wipers stopped working! When I left the house I did a quick pass with them to clear the loose snow off the windshield and they were fine. About 20 minutes later as I was pulling into the office I gave a quick blast of washer fluid but the wipers didn't go. When I parked the car I checked and they weren't stuck to the windshiled, so I have to assume it's an electrical issue.

I've read the Helms and it seems like the fuse, switch (the steering wheel stalk) and the relay (aka control unit) control both the wipers and the washers, so if any of those were at fault I don't think the washers would work either.

Which I guess narrows it down to the motor.

Can anyone offer any insight on something I may have overlooked or should try before I go replacing the motor?

Thanks!

Yo! So do the wipers work in any position at all? (low / hi / washer etc etc) Or if it is completely dead in the water?

Do the basics first and check all the fuses. According to the electrical diagram there's a 80A (#41) and 40A (#42) fuses in the under hood fuse box and also a 20A (#26) fuse in the under dash fuse box.

If all is good check for power and ground going to the wiper motor. If you do then the wiper motor is fried. (let me know if you need me to print up diag. sheets for testing the wiper motor and/or the wiper switch.
