I don't know much about CF durability or MTBF or even what brands are good vs crap. I'm looking for advice as to whether or not a used CF hood with stress cracks is repairable or not.

Would you buy this CF hood?

Thanks!

I used to have a CF hood on the CRX Pierre, I didn't like the fit, or the points I had to take in Solo 1. I never noticed one bit of difference in the car when I went back to the stock hood. I also prefer the factory latch.

Don't trust hood pins - stock is way safer. It's not the pins that fail, it's the loose nut behind the wheel who forgets to clip them down. Ask me how to smash a windshield. That one looks pretty damaged. If you're running a FI setup, a hood with vents in it are a must. Decreases engine temps significantly. Just cutting out the factory underhood supports to the stock hood is the ghetto way of lightening the hood.

Thanks for the info guys. I'm really just looking to get rid of a rusty hood and see if I can get some benefit from a CF hood. Looks like a bust. Cheers!
