This is the pan I bought through Miles. I paid $150 for it which includes a $50 core charge.
Never installed it. Your's for $150, then give Miles your old pan and you get $50 back!

Yeah, Ken's a Kosei stealer anyway... he doesn't need an oil pan too... LOL

Call Guillermo. I recall some mumbling about second thoughts on installing our B20 oil pan, baffled (both the oil pan and me ;))

Thanks Keith. I cleaned it a bit, should really give it a high-temp coating I suppose.
You said you never even opened the package, the baffle was really "cut" up lol.

Charles, what do you mean by "cut up". I really never did open it. But they are certainly fabricated as opposed to something clean from a factory.

Just as a warning, we sucked our baffled pan dry on a really long sweeping turn 4 at Mosport. But that was at 8,000rpm with Hoosier R6s pulling 1.3Gs and an upgraded oil pump gears pushing 100psi pressure. A B20 has a larger pan than the b18c we had and doesn't rev nearly as high. Without our baffles, I'm sure we would've starved bearings much earlier in the session. For our application this year we went with a 1L larger Morroso pan with 6 gates plus baffling. Let's see if we can suck this sucka dry! :)

By cut up, I meant the shape of the battle isn't as round and smooth as something compare to Mugen or Spoon, but by no means am I putting it down, still a nice welded piece.
Miles, I should have the pan swapped in two weeks and will send it over for $50 bucks rebate.

I can't find that on the morroso web site, is it available for non-vtec B20 applications?

Found it on ebay. The B18B and B20B have the same pans I believe. The first B20B pan we baffled was a B18B one. It's on someone's car right now, unless the one Charles bought is that one. Ours is a B16 pan. Not sure why they list VTEC and non VTEC pans as the same in the ebay post. The pickups are longer on the Non-Vtec motors.
BTW Charles, I had Chris fab those things and he's moved on to construction welding. Not sure what I'd do with it now.

Miles,
Given that Chris did take an extra $50 as a core charge, he's sitting on $50. From a moral point of view...isn't Charles still entitled to his core charge???
Charles, if for whatever reason Miles can't get it back from Chris, why don't we agree to split it 50/50?

I bought 2 cores and donated a third core to start this whole program going. Chris stopped making them so Derek offered to do it, now he's out east. If I buy this core back it's coming out of my pocket again and sitting on a shelf. :( I'll see if I can another welder to start this thing up again.

Yes, Chris is back into limo/construction work now. Whatever works at the end I am cool with it.

BTW, I hope the two dents on the pan won't affect anything.

Miles..whatever you can do...don't go nuts.
Charles, were there dents in the pan? I honestly never opened the package and I never dropped it at all, it's been sitting on the back floor of my civic since the fall and my civic was parked all winter!
Having said that, I wouldn't thinkg a couple of dents would affect the pan at all.

There is dent in the corner and I think the bottom has slight wrapping. I trust you Keith so it might have happened before you got it. But out of all honestly (with all due respect), had I seen the photo of it, I would have not purchased it. I will admit, the cosmetic apparence turned me off a little. But I trust HADA folks so if it works, it works. Function over form, I should really get over it, especially it is a piece that goes under the engine, and no one will ever see the baffle haha. All I ask is perfect seal around the pan, which I expect from an OE piece.
KeithC

Charles, you should have no problem with the seal. Just make sure you replace your existing gasket with a new OEM one. Carl @ Trac should be able to get you one.
I hear you though..I would be disappointed too with its appearance.

I do (and I should) have a new oil pan seal from the new gasket kit from Honda. I will also give it a new coat of flame proof paint inside out, didn't think rust proofing paint is a good idea.
