Hey Guys,

I did a search and hope this isn't a re-post but I have some questions. I plan to attend my first autocross event on August 9th. I have done a lapping day and a high performance driving school already this summer with my 2005 Mazda RX8 and I'm eagar to do some autocross and August 9th is the first time I am able to make it out to one of your events.

So I have a couple questions:

How do I register? Do I just show up the day of or do I have to pre-register?

Which class would my car be considered part of? I looked at the pdf file and to be honest had no clue what it meant. Mods on the car are ECU upgrade, intake, cat-back exhaust and coil-overs.

I believe that is all for now. I have a helmet so that is not a problem, even though it is very difficult to fit in the car;)

Thanks,
Steve

I can't quite tell you which class you'll be in. But I wouldn't sweat that too much for your first autocross frankly. The people at registration will help you class the car.

But yes, arrive and drive. We do not require pre-registration for AutoSlalom events. Just make sure you're there before registration closes. :)

Hi Steve:

As Taylor said we do not require pre-registration. However you can print out the reg form and have it filled out completely before you arrive on the 9th. That at least saves you from filling out the form at the reg table.

As for the car classing, our system is based on the SoloSprint rulebook, so if you are familiar with that, then the PIP schedule might make sense. If not, don't worry too much about it, as we will deal with it when you register. Feel free to check some info at the SoloSprint web site (http://soloontario.com/registration.html) - it will give you an idea of how the classing works. By the way, a quick check of my files puts your car in Class 3, if that helps.

See you on the 9th.
