Event 7 will now be taking place as part of HADA's "Take It Off The Streets" autoslalom series. The date is now Saturday August 9, 2008. Please note that this WILL NOT AFFECT the HADA series.

How this will work is the results will be split into two different class sets - one for the Provincial series, one for the HADA series. This means that ALL cars will be counted for both series. For the day of the event however, the classing and scoring will be based on the Provincial Rule Set. The HADA classing may not be available at the time but we are working on having these available for our competitors.

ALL DRIVERS will have to register for both series, and be classed for both series. The cost of registration remains the same as our previous events.

Q: I'm registered for the Provincial Series. How does this affect me?
A: This event will not affect your Provincial scoring. The only difference is that your car and times will be included in the Event 4 results of the HADA series. Therefore, you are required to have your car classed properly for the HADA series.

Q: I'm registered for the HADA series. How does this affect me?
A: This event will not affect your HADA series scoring. Your times will be included in the Provincial Series scoring with a different class. Again, this will NOT affect your HADA scores. Although your car will be classed differently for the day, your times will be adjusted to fit in the proper HADA classes afterwards. These times/results may not be available the day of but we are hoping that it is possible. If not, the results will be posted online after a few days.

Q: How do I know what class my car is according to the Provincial Rules?
A: When you register in the morning, the Provincial Series registrar will class your car for you. You can, however, check the Provincial Series Rulebook to get an idea where your car possibly lands - http://solo2.casc.on.ca/info/rules.php

Q: How do I know what class my car is according to the HADA Series?
A: HADA's classing is based on the Solosprint PIP schedule. We have changed the power/handling index to 30/70 and doubled the value of the suspension PIPs. To get an idea where your car is classed, please see our information package here - http://www.hadamotorsport.com/autoslalom/2008-HADA-Take-it-off-the-Streets-Information-Package.pdf

Q: Will I have the same car number?
A: Provincial Series Registered drivers will be able to retain their number. Some HADA series drivers may be required to add a 3 or 4 to the beginning of their number. Unfortunately, the timing equipment cannot have duplicate numbers, so if your number is (for example) 15, it will be changed to 315 or 415. It just depends if the number is taken by a Provincial Series Registered Driver. Note that this will only affect this event.

Hopefully, that answers some of the important questions for the day. Again, the addition of including this event as part of the Provincial Series should not have any affect. At the most, if you're a HADA series driver, the classing for the day will not be like our previous events. But again, we are really hoping that we will be able to provide you proper HADA classing for this day. And if it doesn't happen, your times will be adjusted afterwards to fit the HADA classing and these results will be posted here.

If you have any questions or concerns, please post here, and I will answer to the best of my knowledge.

I do not know the fate of event 6, so please do not ask me anything about that. All I can say is that I will be helping BARC and Gary in any way possible to help get that event a lot.

Thanks for your understanding.
